New themes for an (almost) new year!

I’ve been busy. Yay! I’m so excited to share all the new themes that I’ve added to my shop lately. There’s a little something here for everybody! Here are all six of my latest themes with a little behind-the-scenes scoop on each one.

Bounce House theme
I drew the bounce house on request for one of my best friends, who couldn’t find a good-looking moonbounce invitation ANYWHERE. (I heard the one supplied by the bounce house place was terrifying.) So, her son’s name really is Nate, and he really is 2, and I really am going to be bouncin’ with the kiddos in about a week! : )

Train theme
This invitation is really a collaboration among customers – I drew the train based on one customer’s embroidered train onesie; the color palette came from a second customer; and a third customer (who works for Martha Stewart!) inspired the final design thanks to her modern style.

Ladybug theme & zebra theme
This is just me getting serious, here. : ) Every stationery shop needs a ladybug theme and a zebra theme, right?? At least, that’s what I’ve come to think – these two themes have been my top special requests in 2010!

These invitations are special to me because they feature very important little ladies in the photos – these gorgeous girls are the daughters of Shelley and Alysha at How Does She!

Cooking theme
I had this one in mind for a long time before I finally designed it. I just love the mod cooking tools!

Country-western theme
This invitation holds a special place in my heart because of the wonderful customer who originally requested it. I drew elements of it based on the birthday boy’s themed bedroom – the star came from a curtain rod finial, and I have the photos to prove it! ; )

Whew! So! That’s the update… for now! There’s so much more to come. And as always, I’m open to ideas – feel free to let me know what themes YOU would like to see!
