Cupcake fondue
► Posted under party food, recipes by Heather
It’s okay to admit it: fondue is fun! This cupcake fondue is the genius idea of one of my favorite gals: Amanda at Bake it Pretty. Although it would be a special treat any day, I love it as a birthday party idea – it would be both the dessert and an activity for the kids. (Or, umm, the girls my age… ’cause you know I’d be fighting for the sprinkles!)

Key ingredients: Sprinkles in all different colors and shapes, mini cupcakes, and a big ol’ pot of yummy homemade frosting.

First you dip the cupcake in the frosting (it’s cool to the touch, so it’s safe for little ‘uns)…

…and then sprinkle away! So easy but so fun. : )
For the frosting recipe and more tempting photos, check out the full blog post at Pint Size Social!

Elizenazelie says:
where can we get a recipe for the frosting?
Nicole =) says:
I'd suggest just a light Sugar frosting/glaze! =) you can even buy it bottled now, I think it's by Duncan Heinz!?>
Heather - Chickabug says:
It's very simple! 3 cups powdered sugar, 1/3 cup liquid (such as orange juice), and 2 tablespoons light corn syrup. Just whisk the ingredients together and adjust the consistency if necessary by adding more sugar or more liquid.

What a fun idea! Fondue is one of my favorite meals and it's even better to have another great dessert idea for the fondue pot.
