How to make mini piñatas
► Posted under DIY projects, rainbow, tutorials & resources by Heather
Every kid wants to be the lucky one who breaks open the piñata at a party, right? Then how about giving every party guest that happy moment with their very own little-bitty miniature piñata to open! And just look at how adorable they are:
Ah! Totally precious! And so easy to make according to Jodi of jodimichelle, who came up with this photo tutorial (and the fantastic idea to use rainbow streamers). In honor of her son’s birthday, she made 25 of these sweet little piñatas for her kids to take to school. She said it took only an hour to make all 25 of them, even while pausing to take lots of photos!
To make the piñatas, you only need a few supplies:
• Paper cones (sno cone type – available seasonally at various stores, year-round at restaurant supply stores, or online at Think Garnish)
• Small candy
• Hot glue gun and glue
• Scissors
• Ribbon
• Crepe paper or streamers
Assembly is quick and easy, too – the little piñatas come together in a snap. Head over to jodimichelle for the full, step-by-step instructions and lots more photos!
