DIY butterfly chandelier
► Posted under butterfly, DIY party decor, DIY projects by Heather
Here’s a seriously beautiful craft project for the most serious DIY-ers: a butterfly chandelier made from a zillion tiny, paper-punched butterflies. Isn’t it stunning?! It was made by Stef from Girl. Inspired., for her daughter’s butterfly theme party. The method is fairly simple – to make the two-level chandelier, you use a foam wreath form on the bottom and a smaller embroidery hoop on the top:
And then, there are – as Stef says – “about ten million butterflies from patterned cardstock using three different craft punches.” This is where the real dedication comes in: punching, gluing, punching, gluing… but just look at how pretty the final results are!
Just so, so lovely! Well worth the work, I think (though it’s easy for me to say). ; )
Check out the full instructions on how to make a butterfly chandelier (and more pretty photos) at Girl. Inspired.

LOL! : ) It's definitely a big project... to make several is REALLY ambitious. They'll be so gorgeous at the shower, though!
