This picture just plain ol’ makes me happy. Maybe it’s because it reminds me of the grape soda I loved so much as a kid (the kind from the vending machine at the grocery store that poured “fresh,” super-fizzy soda into a paper cup – am I dating myself, here?). Oh, how I loved that soda, and something about these bubbly, bright purple balloons and poms brings that memory back, big time!
The picture is from a purple theme party on eightfootsix, where blogger Shannon posts gorgeous photos and writes about her everyday life. She’s also a bit of a home redecorating genius (her before-and-afters have me wanting to redo my entire place. How have I lived this long without ever having had wainscoting?).

That's so funny, Leslie!! Wasn't it the best? So funny to think of getting soda in a vending machine but NOT in a can, now. Kids don't know what they're missing out on. ; )
