{one pretty pin} DIY paper rosette backdrop
► Posted under DIY party decor, DIY projects, one pretty pin by Heather
Now this is what I call resourceful: these fabulous paper rosettes are made from window shades! They’re those temporary pleated window shades – you know, the kind you get when you move and you need something to cover the windows until you have a chance to go get real blinds. Toni from Design Dazzle worked her magic on a box of six shades and turned them into this 4′ x 8′ backdrop, using spray paint, foam, glitter, ribbon, and a glue gun. You can read all about her method and see more pictures here.

I love the use of glitter! I'm going to have to use this idea for a cupcake/dessert table backdrop I'm doing this summer. I love those colors together as well, gorgeous!

Glitter is ALWAYS a plus! A mess, but a plus ; )
