Free printable Thanksgiving play set – keep kids busy at the table!
► Posted under DIY projects, DIY projects for kids, FREEBIES, Thanksgiving & fall by Heather
Are you hosting little ones at your Thanksgiving dinner? If so, I designed a special printable kit that’s just for you! It’s 25 pages of printables and sewing patterns that you can use to create fun craft activities, so kids can keep themselves entertained at the table (perhaps quietly, even!). ; ) The kit is exclusive for HowDoesShe subscribers. Read on for lots of pics and for more information on downloading!
The kit includes so much fun stuff! There are four different shape-based activities that you can print on paper or cut out of felt. There are bag toppers that go along with each activity. Plus, there’s a pattern so you can make little boat place holders!
Here are the four activities, plus the boat. Isn’t it cute? The body is made from felt, and the sail is made from paper so you can write on it. The candy holds the mast up all on its own.
The four shape-based activities all have a Thanksgiving theme: “Set the table,” “Put the leaves on the tree,” “Fill the cornucopia,” and “Put the feathers on the turkey.”
To play each activity, you need a large piece of felt (or paper) plus the cut-out shapes, which can also be made from felt or paper. To keep the cut-out shapes together, you can put them in a Ziploc baggie with a matching bag topper!
Game #1: “Fill the cornucopia”
Game #2: “Set the table”
Game #3: “Put the leaves on the tree”
Game #4: “Put the feathers on the turkey”
I had so much fun designing this set and I hope you and your kiddos have fun with it too!! Happy Thanksgiving!
How to download: These FREE printables were designed by Heather from Chickabug (that’s me!) exclusively for HowDoesShe newsletter subscribers.
