New in the shop: Rainbow birthday party printables kit!

I have big news. Big, big news. I’ve just listed my first ever birthday party printables kit! It’s a mega-pack of rainbow fabulousness! And there’s an important story behind it, too – a story that will touch your heart for sure. Read on…

Rainbow birthday party printables kit from Chickabug - 35 pages of colorful fun!

First, I have to show off the kit! TA-DA! Years of designing for parties, blogging about parties, searching for ideas and pinning about parties, talking to customers about parties, literally dreaming about parties… has all led to this mega-kit! It’s a huge collection of printable accessories for your party, including new items that are not listed anywhere else in my shop, such as photo banner pieces, party hats, oversized circles, and patterned papers. All together, that’s 35 pages of printables for ya!

These fab non-personalized items are included:

And, of course everything in the kit coordinates with my rainbow theme invitations, stickers, and water labels.

Just check out a little of what you can make using your printable accessories kit!

And now, a little back story… before now, I’ve only sold my printables a la carte. Since I offer professionally printed invitations, stickers, and water labels in addition to a wide range of personalized printables, I’ve always let customers pick and choose only what they needed. Everything’s been working out just fine that way, to be totally honest with you, and I had no plans of changing my ways! So, why a printables kit now, after all this time? It’s because Icing Smiles asked me to create a printables kit to help raise funds for them. And I could not say no.

Rainbow birthday party printables kit from Chickabug - with a donation to Icing Smiles

Needless to say, I cried my way through making this photo collage! I’m sure you can see why I felt I needed to do my part to help Icing Smiles, an amazing charity that pairs fabulously talented bakers with families who have been impacted by the critical illness of a child. At a time when an affected family would not be able to plan for (or possibly even afford) a big birthday celebration, one of Icing Smiles‘ bakers provides them with a specially-made cake free of charge. It’s not just a cake that these families receive, though – it’s a temporary escape from the day-to-day worries of illness. It’s a chance to truly celebrate life. And to see a very sick child beaming from ear to ear on their birthday, with a show-stopping cake to thank for that moment… it’s just the most wonderful thing. The most.

So, to help raise funds for Icing Smiles, I’ll be donating $10 from each Rainbow Birthday Party Printables Kit sold between November 1, 2012 and April 30, 2013. I could’ve pulled any of the themes from my shop to create a kit for Icing Smiles, but I picked the rainbow theme because it works for all ages, for boys and girls, and for all types of parties (not just rainbow parties, but also circus, carnival, St. Patrick’s Day, or art parties, too). I want to be able to send Icing Smiles a BIG donation on May 1! : )

Please help spread the word about Icing Smiles (website, facebook, twitter). They deserve our support!
